On the Rails

I felt a little exposed getting this shot.
Stood on the rails, all the time I was taking to focus I could imagine a train smashing into my back. I know it would be painless, still - best not to hang around...

You're living a dangerous life Mountain boy! But this shot is great so it was worth the risk!

YIKES! This shot gives me nightmares!

Several years ago we went to a railroad amusement park up in the mountains here...and as the open-air-car train was climbing up a switchback (a zig-zag track used to gradually climb up the steep incline) the engine just died! We were all stuck up there and ended up walking back down the hill to the entrance...and I had to walk across a 90-foot-high trestle bridge (with tracks that looked JUST like these!), board-by-board, looking down to the ground below, with my toddler in tow AND I was 7 months pregnant!

SCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARY!!!

Thanks for helping me relive THAT moment! LOL!

It's a toy train track in Vivary Park...

No trains running, no danger.
