Bluebell

Just before they disappear for another year the Bluebell...

The native British version of course, as opposed to the more dominant new Spanish species.

These are pictured close to the castle, on the walk back to town from French Weir.

British, Spanish, French... how international is Taunton all of a sudden! ;)

I love bluebell. They are the most perfect sign of spring. You never realise where they come from but as soon as it gets a little warm they pop out everywhere!

I ADORE bluebells, and one of the things I loved most about living in Dorset was being able to visit and walk in bluebell woods. Ah, memories flood back.
