Quantocks

Went walking in the Quantocks today, it was great - the trees up there have a hard life - mostly Hawthorn and like this one they grow really slowly and are seriously windswept.

WOW! Amazing shot Mark! GREAT B&W!!! Really lends itself for that set-up!

But you need to EDIT NOOOOOOW!!!!!!

Put your "waterMARK" down in the foreground so the viewer's eye doesn't go STRAIGHT to that black LINE!

SORRY! It's just such a great snap...it doesn't deserve to be upstaged by that .com line! LOL!

Impressive work. The picture has an ominous quality (I hear music from an Alfred Hitchcock movie in my head). Perfect exposure. You must be using a good quality lens to get this so sharp. I'll be posting some B&W on my CDPB for the next three days, starting Tuesday morning US time.

BTW, agree that your mark is quite distracting above the horizon. Make it white and put it on the ground.
